About the artist

Hi! I’m Segundo Urbina, a self-taught muralist and illustrator born in Chosica, Peru, and currently based in Argentina. From an early age, I settled in San Miguel, Buenos Aires, where I now live and carry out my artistic work. In 2017, while painting the corner of my home, I discovered muralism—without imagining it would completely change the course of my life. I began learning on my own, using digital platforms like YouTube, which allowed me to explore and experiment with a wide range of techniques. Over time, art became my craft and way of life. My search goes beyond the aesthetic; my style is rooted in magical realism, where imagination and symbolism engage in dialogue with everyday reality. I work with a vibrant color palette, where cyan, magenta, and violet predominate—colors that help me create dreamlike and emotional atmospheres on every wall. Thanks to this vocation, I’ve had the opportunity to paint in various towns and provinces across Argentina, as well as in countries like Paraguay and Bolivia.
