Renate Neuser (1939–2026) was an influential contemporary German fine artist, sculptor, and spatial designer based in Essen. She passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 86. While she did not belong to the classic underground graffiti or hip-hop subculture, her public sculptures and installations have permanently shaped the urban landscape of Essen and the Ruhr region, directly crossing paths with the city's open-air art grids.
