Peter Baranowski, also known as Klisterpeter or Rådjursmannen, is a Swedish street artist born in 1974 in Arboga and primarily active in Stockholm. He is renowned for his animal-themed street art, particularly his deer stickers and birdhouses, which can be found on the backs of signs and construction sites throughout the city. Klisterpeter began his artistic journey in the late 1980s as a graffiti artist in Arboga. After moving to Stockholm in the late 1990s, he adopted the name "Free" and painted traditional graffiti before shifting towards street art. His collaboration with fellow artist Akay led to numerous public art interventions, including the well-known Traffic Island (2003–2006), a fully functional red cottage built on an inaccessible rock between the lanes of Essingeleden, one of Stockholm’s major highways. Since 2001, Klisterpeter’s signature deer image has become a familiar sight across Stockholm, symbolizing a quiet reminder of nature amidst the urban landscape.
