Mick La Rock is one of Europe’s first and bestknown female graffiti artists. She painted in New York for many years, which became the foundation of her carreer. Nowadays she travels all over the world for her murals and is proud to work and live in Amsterdam Zuidoost. In her contemporary art La Rock alienates every element of her graffiti name into minimalist, brutalist abstraction, away from traditional style writing and its original essence and composition. Her post-graffiti is a result of the the question: “What does a letter do when it doesn’t have to be read anymore”.
