MEAN (frequently tagging under the handle Mean One) is a highly active German graffiti writer, traditional style-writer, based in Essen. MEAN is most widely recognized across the German street circuit for his inseparable, long-standing creative alliance with fellow Essen-based writer and character illustrator 0ae. They function as a highly coordinated visual tandem. While 0ae anchors the walls with raw, expressive cartoon figures and abstract pop-art doodles, MEAN builds the structural skeleton of the mural.
