Treepack

<div>Treepack was commissioned by Lantis, from the builder of the Oosterweel connection, to brighten up the Galgenweel cycle path and to visualize the future of Oosterweel.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>The location was deliberately chosen: the cycle path lies between the Galgenweel recreation area and the temporary wharf road in the project area on the Left Bank. From the start of the works, Lantis wanted to maintain a bicycle connection at all costs. The bicycle road was even provided with new street lighting. It is a good example of the many improvements to cycling infrastructure that are being realized thanks to the Oosterweel connection.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>A range of topics are discussed in these murals: nature, recreation, air quality and mobility. Curious about the end result? You can admire the artists on foot or by bike. The cycle path will remain in use. You immediately enjoy the beautiful nature on Linkeroever.<br><br>--<br><br>Treepack kreeg van Lantis, de bouwheer van de Oosterweelverbinding, de opdracht om het fietspad Galgenweel op te fleuren en er de toekomst van Oosterweel te verbeelden.<br><br>De locatie is bewust gekozen: het fietspad ligt tussen het recreatiegebied Galgenweel en de tijdelijke werfweg in het projectgebied op Linkeroever. Al van bij de start van de werken wilde Lantis kost wat kost de fietsverbinding behouden. De fietsweg werd zelfs voorzien van vernieuwde straatverlichting. Het is een mooi voorbeeld van de vele verbeteringen aan fietsinfrastructuur die dankzij de Oosterweelverbinding gerealiseerd worden.<br><br>Een waaier van topics komen in deze muurschilderingen aan bod: natuur, recreatie, luchtkwaliteit en mobiliteit. Benieuwd naar het eindresultaat? Je kan de artiesten te voet of met de fiets bewonderen. Het fietspad blijft namelijk in gebruik. Je geniet er meteen van de prachtige natuur op Linkeroever.</div>

Toy Factory (Sam De Buyssher)

<div>To encourage the transport of materials for Wienerberger, a brick producing factory, a new quai was built at the rupel river. Because this heavy traffic would clash with the cycling path the city of Boom invested in a new tunnel.<br>They asked Kanter and Toy Factory to paint this fresh tunnel with some typical highlights of the region as part of the Yellow Brick Road project<br><br>august 2016</div>
