Julia is a trained stage painter. Her work seems very bizarre at first glance, the bald man with the dead eyes who holds the dead queen bee in his arms! The whole thing is loosened up by the surrounding honeycombs and flying bees (which can be found as a common denominator on many works). 
Julia was very busy with the honeycombs!The honeycomb stands for the shape of the silk weaver's house, which, as I have just learned, is intended to underline the ties between the city of Krefeld and the chemical industry here in Krefeld (the so-called benzene ring) Weedkiller related to glyphosate, which was originally produced by Monsanto, which, as is well known, was taken over by Bayer in 2018. </pre><div><br></div><pre>The fact is that the patents have expired since 2000, and most of them now come from China. And unfortunately there are few alternatives! The same is of course also true of the neonicotinoid insecticides.</pre><div><br></div>

The phoenix, which symbolizes the reconstruction of the formerly fallow area, was selected by a large majority.</div><div>This place is a new cultural center for the whole quarter and forms a real neighborhood !!</div>

<div>"Fake Wall" , An der alten Kirche, Krefeld by Juelie Be aka Julia Bethke from Krefeld were created as part of the project KastenArt #kastenart #krefeld as part of the 650th anniversary celebration of the city of Krefeld organized by Claire Neidhardt from Stadtmarketing. The trained stage painter has opened the round and the result speaks for itself, because the boxes blur with the background, become almost invisible.&nbsp;<br><br>Of course, we know Julia from the Silk City Gallery at the Seidenweberhaus or from the Firebird in the Samtweberviertel.<br>The aim of the project is to improve the cityscape because many electricity boxes are dirty and smeared. Great idea!<br>But not only professionals like Julia are in demand here, every citizen or entire associations can participate in the action, the city marketing takes care of the legal aspects and permits.&nbsp;<br><br></div>
