About the artist

HYPHA is a polymath artist exploring the space where consciousness, healing, nature and human connection meet. Working across visual art, performance and creative design, HYPHA creates immersive experiences that invite us to look beyond the surface and question the judgements we place on ourselves and others. Drawing on ceremonial experience, sacred geometry, psychedelia and the intelligence of the natural world, HYPHA’s practice moves freely between painting and visionary art, props, costumes, custom flow toys and theatrical makeup. Each discipline becomes another way to tell a story, transform perception and create spaces where people can experience something beyond the ordinary. At the heart of the work is a belief that art can become a meeting place. A place where difference is not something to fear, fix or condemn, but something to understand. HYPHA’s work encourages us to meet people where they are, with curiosity rather than judgement, compassion rather than division and connection rather than hate. This philosophy comes to life through #coveringhate, HYPHA’s campaign featured by the BBC, using art and human stories to challenge the labels and assumptions that can divide us. HYPHA is also an emerging vocalist, bringing voice and performance into an expanding multidisciplinary practice and is available for creative collaborations, commissions and experimental projects. From a canvas to a costume, a prop to a performance, a flowing object to a painted face, HYPHA creates work that asks us to see differently, feel more deeply and remember our shared humanity.
