Daniel Pulidi was born in Bogotá, Colombia, in 1956, he describes himself as a "Painter, muralist, and writer — a Colombian with his heart in Nicaragua. Following the Sandinista Revolution, he moved to Nicaragua in 1984 and gained citizenship in 1989. He spent 33 years deeply integrated within an Indigenous community in León, a historic university city on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast.
