A1one (born 1981) is widely celebrated as the father and pioneering founder of Iranian graffiti and street art. He was the first artist to systematically tag and paint the public urban infrastructure of Tehran, Iran, laying the underground foundation for Middle Eastern street culture. Because he was completely isolated as the city's sole active graffiti writer, he began signing his works with the Persian word „Tanha“ (meaning Alone), which he eventually stylized into A1one. He integrated traditional Persian and Arabic calligraphy with modern graffiti typography.
